Ten people, including two children, have been displaced after an apartment fire ignited in Fremont on Saturday.
At 5:57 p.m., the Fremont Fire Department responded to 36543 San Pedro Dr. after receiving reports of a fire.

The two-alarm blaze was described as a "heavy fire" in the first floor unit of a two-story apartment complex, officials said. Within 15 minutes of arriving at the scene, firefighters were able to control the flames.
The fire caused significant damage to the apartment and caused smoke damage to three other units, according to the department. One bearded dragon was saved, but a cat was found dead.

There have been no reported injuries to residents or firefighters. 10 people, eight adults and two children, were displaced by the fire, but shelter assistance from the Red Cross was not required.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
