Ten people are recovering from various injuries after a vehicle slammed into a 7-Eleven in San Leandro on Sunday.
The incident happened at the 7-Eleven on E. 14th St. at about 4:17 p.m.
Six of those hurt had to be transported to a local hospital, the Alameda County Fire Department tweeted.
The car was driven by a woman who had reportedly been shopping in the store moments earlier. According to KPIX, she struck a parked car in the lot, then accelerated straight into the front of the 7-Eleven instead of driving away.
The driver of the vehicle was examined and released at the scene.
An investigation is underway.
