Seven people were hospitalized after a "major" multi-car collision in Concord early Sunday morning.
The crash, which police first tweeted about at 12:45 a.m., occurred at Willow Pass Rd. and Port Chicago Highway.
Three occupants were airlifted by helicopter to a local hospital while another four were transported by ground.

The area did not reopen to traffic in all directions until 9:03 a.m. while officials investigated the incident.
No other information, including the severity of the injuries and the conditions of the victims, was available.
The investigation remains ongoing.
