In September, an incident occurred at an Oakland Unified School District elementary school where a family member of a student entered the campus after school, threatened two students and allegedly assaulted at least one of them, John Sasaki, Director of Communications at OUSD, told KCBS Radio in a statement.
Police revealed that the alleged assault took place just before 2:30 p.m. on September 23 in the 700 block of Cleveland Ave., where Cleveland Elementary School is located.
"When officers arrived, they learned that an adult individual confronted a juvenile victim," police reported in a statement.
School staff immediately removed the person from the campus and tended to the students who were scared by the incident, Sasaki said. OUSD is cooperating with the investigation.
