SF Gate reported that the restaurant has been rationing the tea leaf salad to one order per table due to the main ingredient running low.

The tea leaves are shipped directly from the mountains of Namhsan in Myanma and supply chain issues delayed the replenishment of the ingredient, SF Gate said.

According to an email newsletter from Burma Food Group, they have the problem under control and the tea leaf salad is back, the newspaper reported.

The salad has been a staple on the menu at the restaurant since it opened in 1992. In 2018 the salad was named one of the most popular dishes in the country by Yelp, according to the newspaper.
