Once deemed shuttered for good, the popular Specialty's Cafe & Bakery has returned after closing all locations last spring.
A single location opened on Ellis St. in Mountain View this week and the company's website is back up. The company promises new sandwiches, salads, and pastries, but said their popular cookies remain the same.
The company's founders are behind the revival, bringing it back because they missed the business. This time they've brought their children aboard to help run the family business, which has downsized to a single location, for now.
The brand launched in 1987.
For decades, Specialty's was a well-known staple for catered lunches for businesses around the Bay Area.
