Officials from Favor, formerly known as the Pill Club, told the station demand for their emergency contraception has increased 5,200%, just three days after the Supreme Court struck down the constitutional right to an abortion.
The company's customers are primarily women 24-years-old and younger. They have served over two million members and have delivered contraceptives to all 50 states. They currently have 200,000 active members.
Most of the influx of women reaching out to them are scared and trying to understand how to better protect themselves, the station reported. The company said while they didn’t anticipate demand increasing this much so fast, they're prepared to provide birth control medicine to women across the country.
