A leaky fuel line caused 400 gallons of diesel fuel to pour into Discovery Bay on Monday morning.
The spill was reported to U.S. Coast Guard watchstanders at 10 a.m., which led to a full harbor clean up at Discovery Bay Yacht Harbor at 5901 Marina Rd.
Coast Guard officials said that the diesel originated from a leaking fuel line at the marina which has since been shut off. Two geese were covered in oil due to the spill and transferred to a rehabilitation center.
The Coast Guard continued to investigate the spill on Tuesday.
Anyone with information about wildlife injured or effected by the leak is asked to call the Oiled Wildlife Care Network at (800) 823-6926.
