The Blue Angels will fly 700 miles an hour over the City of San Francisco and the Bay on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as part of San Francisco Fleet Week.
Any view of the Bay is usually pretty nice. But if you’re in a Blue Angel jet cockpit?

"It's surreal," pilot Jim Cox told KCBS Radio from the tarmac where the Blue Angels have launched for practices this week.
"We get the privilege of being able to fly these beautiful airplanes over cities nationwide," Cox said. "But flying over San Francisco in the capacity that we are is a real treat and a privilege, and one that we train to a lot."
Cox said he's fully aware how rarefied the air is for Fleet Week pilots.
"Getting to fly around the buildings here, not many aviators in the world that get to do that," he noted.
Just how dangerous is to be part of the fleet? Not much for Cox, considering how well-prepared he and his fellow pilots are.
"We train so much. Everything you are going to see out there, not only today but for this weekend, are maneuvers that have been trained to specifically for this show site," he said. "The challenges that are here with the bridges, we briefed them in depth, and we’re prepared for it and we’re ready to do it."
The Blue Angels joked they'll try not to break the sound barrier while they're here.
