SAN FRANCICO (KCBS RADIO) – Around one hundred passengers at Oakland International Airport were left without any luggage or answers about where their bags went Tuesday night.

The Allegiant flight from Bellingham, Washington made it into Oakland International just after 5 p.m. Some travelers waited for hours for their stuff to show up, but to no avail.
It's not clear whether the bags simply weren't taken off the plane or never made it on to begin with.
"After about 40 minutes, people just started kind of filling out and leaving without their bags because they had heard nothing, couldn’t talk to anybody," passenger Ryan Carol told KCBS Radio. "I waited there for about an hour from the time I got into the baggage claim."
Despite a busy day of holiday travel, Carol said there were no Allegiant gate agents to be found anywhere.
"I tried calling Allegiant's customer service line and their baggage department several times. I was not greeted with any sort of response, left several voicemails and just wasn't able to find anybody to tell us what happened to our bags," he said.
Carol was traveling to the Bay Area with a couple hundred dollars in Christmas gifts. Now he's left with nothing but the clothes on his back.
"It's a lot of worry that I, probably, pretty easy to have been avoided if they just had a little bit more people, a little bit better communication as to what was going on," Carol said.
The flight departed for Las Vegas without any further explanation. KCBS Radio has reached out to Allegiant, but has not yet heard back.
