SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – Golden State Warriors superstar Klay Thompson unintentionally left behind a souvenir en route to his fourth NBA championship parade on Monday, although he admitted it might have been "destiny."

Thompson, a boat owner and self-proclaimed believer in the ocean's healing properties, took his boat to the Warriors' parade in San Francisco, sharing his travels with his 12.6 million Instagram followers. The 32-year-old proudly wore his 2021-22 NBA champions hat, but not for long.
Yes, Thompson's commemorative headwear joined the likes of Barry Bonds' 35 splash hits as a San Francisco Bay-bound souvenir.
"I did actually take the boat in today because it was a perfect, glassy day on the water," Thompson told 95.7 The Game's "Willard & Dibs" on Monday morning. "It's funny 'cause I lost my championship hat in the wind. I do not condone littering, and I tried to find her, but she is now one with the ocean, unfortunately."
Thompson wasn't without a hat for long. He told Mark Willard and Dan Dibley he came prepared, bringing a San Francisco Giants-branded captain's hat to the festivities.
"Honestly, I think it was destiny because it fits the outfit perfectly," Thompson said. "Yeah, it was my secondary option, so I'm grateful to be here, man. I'm in character. Sea captain for the day."
Warriors fans wouldn't have him any other way.
