LA Mayor Eric Garcetti continues to quarantine and remains negative along with his wife Monday - a few days after he announced during a TV update that he is quarantining after their daughter tested positive for coronavirus.

Garcetti had stated he was quarantining for 10 days. He has tested negative. On Monday he said in another TV update on coronavirus that he is touched by everyone who reached out about his daughter's news.

"I just want to start on a personal note and thanking so many people across this city, across this country who reached out about Maya's well being. She is doing just fine," he said adding he and his wife continues to quarantine and continues to be negative.

Garcetti also cautioned everyone to not gather during the holidays and the upcoming Christmas holiday.

LA County extended its Stay at Home order until at least Dec. 27, according to reporter Claudia Peschiutta Monday. Meanwhile, Gov. Gavin Newsom said today the regional stay-at-home order imposed by California for SoCal will be extended beyond next week. Newsom enacted the new regional order for most of California earlier this month.

This week, the supply of available ICU beds in LA County continues to dwindle as hospitals struggle to keep up with the growing wave of COVID-19 patients.

SoCal health care workers continue to receive the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine as shipments were sent across the state and country last week. The first ICU nurse at Kaiser Permanente in Hollywood was administered the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine in SoCal. Large LA County hospitals received the first doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine.
