FOODIE FRIDAY: GOODNIGHT’s, PRIME STEAK & SPIRITS, HEALDSBURG
If you are looking for a solid steakhouse in wine country this is the spot. Located on Healdsburg’s main square, Goodnight's serves up turf but also surf with perfectly paired local wines and killer cocktails. The restaurant was inspired by Texas Ranger Charles Goodnight and the decor tells you so; rifles worked into the lighting fixtures and floor to ceiling images of gun toting ranchers all around. The tasty menu by Chef David Lawrence (1300 Fillmore & Black BBQ) is primed for the meat lover and for fish lovers too:
- Barrel-cut filet mignon
- Bone in rib-eye
- Japanese A5 waghu
- New York strip
- Tomahawk for two
Fish lovers will be satisfied too:
- Gulf prawn cocktail
- Humboldt oysters
- Jumbo shrimp in Pernod sauce
- Yellowtail hamach
- Lobster thermidor
- Sea bass
It’s Chef Lawrence’s sensational sauces (red wine bordelaise / armagnac green peppercorn / béarnaise / chimichurri) and salts (truffle / smoked / pink himalayan / hawaiian sea ) to accompany the steaks that set Goodnight’s apart. Thanks to rock star Chef David Lawrence & his culinary team, you are in for a very good night every night you dine at Goodnight’s, Healdsburg. Goodnight’s is open Tuesday to Sunday 4 P.M. to 10 P.M.. See you there.

SHOW: KOOZA BY CIRQUE DU SOLEIL
Fan favorites Cirque Du Soleil bring their latest touring show Kooza (meaning box in sanskrit ) to San Francisco and they deliver on all fronts.
Kooza is a pleasure box and for two and a half delightful hours you are invited inside their magical playpen. Kooza goes beyond our expectations; 3 stooges type clowns inspire non stop giggles, gutsy acrobats (wheel of death) bring gravity-defying stunts (tower of chairs) that leave hearts pounding and jaws to the floor. Beyond the clowns, the acrobats and contorting acts, a live orchestra adds the extra musical spice, delivering the perfect recipe for a fabulous and fun family or date night out. Welcome back Cirque. I cannot recommend Kooza highly enough. Kooza runs through March 17th and you can get your tickets here.
FILM: FEEDING TOMORROW BY OLIVER AND SIMON ENGLISH
We all have the power to make positive changes in the world, and food is at the center of that change. Feeding Tomorrow tells an interconnected story of how food interacts with and transforms every part of our lives. Our lens focuses on a dynamic group of innovators across agriculture, healthcare, and education as they work to transform our broken food system. We follow Thabiti Brown, Head of School at Codman Academy, Lisa Mcdowell, Director of Nutrition at St Joseph Mercy Hospitals, and Mark Shepard, Founder & Farmer of New Forest Farm to uncover the biggest challenges and the real solutions we face in agriculture, healthcare, and education.Feeding Tomorrow documents the hard truth about where we are today and provides tangible, working examples: farming that will feed our future, healthy food that will heal us, and a new model for holistic education. Each of our experts provides tangible actions that each one of us can make in our daily lives to be a part of the change.
Bravo to brother Oliver and Simon English for making a film that makes us stop and think and be part of the change the world needs now! Feeding Tomorrow is streaming now on Apple TV & Amazon.
