(KCBS RADIO) – A woman and a child were injured when a Navy parachutist landed on them during San Francisco Fleet Week activities Sunday.

Videos obtained by KTVU and KRON show the parachutist coming in to land at the Marina Green, but veering away from the open landing space and into the crowd.

It is not clear what caused the parachutist to end up in the crowd.

The woman and her daughter were taken to an area hospital with what were described as minor injuries.

The Navy told KPIX that safety is its top priority and will be investigating what caused this parachutist to end up landing in the crowd.
