Drivers headed eastbound on I-80 in Emeryville were in disbe-leaf over an overturned lettuce truck causing a multi-hour, multi-lane shutdown Friday.
California Highway Patrol officials said a container truck overturned following a collision just west of Powell St. at around 10:15 a.m., spilling numerous crates of lettuce onto the freeway.
The truck driver was unharmed, as was his dog, according to officials.
Four of six lanes were closed off for multiple hours, officials said, with all lanes reopening just before 3 p.m.
Residual traffic eventually cleared, but not before the lettuce was tossed.
