The Pleasanton Unified School District has now brought students of all grade levels back to campus, including middle and high school students.
The district is the first in Alameda County to welcome back older kids.
Superintendent David Haglund says they expect to see 55% of students coming back to campuses in a hybrid reopening. That means kids will be back at schools in two cohorts, with one attending classes in person on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the other on Thursdays and Fridays.
When they are not in class, students will learn remotely and parents can choose to keep their kids at home entirely through the end of the year.
The district brought kindergarten through second grade students back one week ago, and grades three through five went back to the classroom on Monday.
Teachers in Alameda County have been eligible to get vaccinated for several weeks.
