A nine-year-old child was injured in an East Bay hit-and-run on Tuesday.
At about 4:10 p.m., the accident happened on Chadwick Ln. near Highway 4 and Bailey Rd. in Bay Point, officials reported. The child, who was riding in the victim's car, suffered a broken leg in the crash.
The Contra Costa-based California Highway Patrol is searching for the driver, who sped off after the collision and currently remains at-large. Witnesses reported that the suspect was driving a gold or gray four-door sedan.
