KCBS Radio spoke with Alexander Dombrovski, general manager at popular downtown Italian restaurants Barbacco and Perbacco, about his high hopes for this week following two years where the area at times looked like a ghost town.
"Restaurant week in the past has been very good to us so we’re hoping it gets people excited to come back out," he explained. "We're starting to see an uptick especially downtown with people going back to the office but it’s definitely a long road."

"We're having a really exciting restaurant week, we're doing lunch for two courses, dinner for three courses at both restaurants. So that’s going to be a prefixed menu, there are a couple options of vegetarians, with some delicious meat dishes, some pasta and some salads.”
If you make it out to Barbacoo, Dombrovski recommends ordering the fettuccine bolognese, his personal favorite and a "classic Italian dish."
Is the trattoria restaurants receiving a lot of reservations this week?
"Definitely. We’re starting to see it pick up," Dombrovski said. "Still some open spots but it's picking up"
Barbacco and Perbacco are just two of the restaurants offering tasty deals available all over the city over the next week. Reservationists are awaiting your call.
