A 25-year-old man has been booked as a suspect in connection to a fatal shooting in the Tenderloin earlier this month.

Jhacorey Wyatt was arrested on Monday and booked in the San Francisco County Jail on one count of murder, attempted murder and a parole violation, the San Francisco Police Department announced in a release on Wednesday.

Police said a 51-year-old man was killed and a 23-year-old was injured in a shooting on the 300 block of Turk St. on Aug. 13. Two suspects fled the scene in an SUV that night, according to investigators.

Wyatt, who police said was being held in the Sacramento County Jail and set for release on Monday, was transported to San Francisco County Jail that day after "investigators developed information" that identified him as the murder suspect.

The investigation remains open, and the San Francisco Police Department said anyone with information can call 1-415-575-4444.
