A San Jose man acting as a "spiritual healer" has been arrested for multiple sex crimes with a child, police said on Thursday.
Jorge Luis Navarette, 42, was taken into custody on Oct. 26 for multiple counts of felony sex crimes, including rape by force, penetration with a foreign object and lewd acts with a child under 15.
In all, the suspect is facing 10 counts of various felony sex crimes.
The incidents allegedly happened from October 2020 and August 2021.
It wasn't immediately clear what capacity Navarette represented himself as a "spiritual healer," how he came to know the juvenile victim or where the alleged acts took place. He's been booked at the Santa Clara County Jail.
The investigation remains open, San Jose police added.
