A San Mateo man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for receiving child pornography.
Adrian Kyle Benjamin, 25, who pleaded guilty to the charge, was sentenced on Friday in federal court for the receipt of child pornography. In his plea agreement, Benjamin admitted to "enticing" four underage girls to send him sexually explicit content, the youngest of whom was 13.
Using grooming tactics, Benjamin convinced one of the girls, 15, to send him 50 images and four videos while they were in contact in 2018. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California said that Benjamin also joked about a 17-year-old who sent him content being "old" in at least one communication.
FBI officials issued a search warrant on Benjamin’s home in March 2020 and found videos of the victims on a hard drive in folders labeled with the victims’ names.
After serving his 11 year sentence, the San Mateo man will be supervised for another 10 years, as ordered by a U.S. District Judge.
