A Santa Cruz man turned himself into police last Friday and confessed to the murder of a 33-year-old woman inside an RV.
Thirty-year-old Beau Joseph Paepke arrived at Santa Cruz County Jail on June 1 to admit to the previously unreported homicide, according to authorities.
After Paepke disclosed location of the crime scene, police found the body of the victim, whose identity is being withheld, inside an RV parked at the 100 block of Front St.
The homicide, according to Paepke’s full confession, occurred on June 28 at the 900 block of Soquel Ave.
The suspect has been booked into Santa Cruz County Jail without bail on suspicion of murder, violating a domestic violence order, violating parole, and violating probation, the Santa Cruz Sentinel reported.
He recently pleaded no-contest to a December 2019 felony assault causing great bodily injury charge, the paper said.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the case and process evidence.
