Officials suspect an arsonist could be on the loose in Sonoma County after over a dozen brush fires erupted close to Healdsburg Monday night.
CAL FIRE said an accurate number of fires will be determined "during the daylight hours" Tuesday, though State Senator Mike McGuire told the San Francisco Chronicle there were 15 blazes.

Crews were able to contain all of the flames by midnight, assisted by a combination of fire engines, bull dozers, and helicopters, McGuire said.
Some of the fires grew to as big as two acres while others were smaller than 1/8 of an acre, and at least six were off Mill Creek Rd., while others were on West Dry Creek Rd. and Healdsburg Ave., according to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.
"We owe MAJOR gratitude to the firefighters in Sonoma County tonight - literally being everywhere at once," McGuire tweeted Monday night. “Local agencies along with CalFire are staged in the Healdsburg area, prepared to jump on any new fire starts. Please remain vigilant.”
The Senator urged anyone with security cameras in the area of the flames to sift through the footage and contact law enforcement if they notice anything suspicious.
"These starts are incredibly suspicious," he told the paper.
No evacuation were issued.
An investigation into what caused the fires is ongoing.
