Thursday morning Walter Ferretti turned himself into the San Francisco Police Department Mission station for the "warrant associated with the incident," Kathryn Winters public information officer for the San Francisco Police Department told KCBS Radio.
On Monday officers responded to a shooting at a store on the 500 block of Precita Avenue, Winters said. When police arrived, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics were on the scene and took the victim to the hospital where he was treated with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers reported that the suspect walked into the store and had a conversation with the victim. During their conversation, the suspect shot the victim and then ran away, Winters said.
The police identified Ferreti and booked him at the San Francisco County Jail on three charges including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a zip gun, Winters reported.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
