Judy Sakaki, Sonoma State University President has been under fire since it's been revealed that the university paid the former provost $600,000 to settle a claim that Sakaki tried to cover up accusations that her husband sexually harassed the former campus official. Students and teachers were outraged when it was revealed that half the payout came out of the SSU budget.

"I don't think it's right cause our tuition is high, we pay a bunch of prices for everything like parking permits, to get new books and all this other stuff and at the end of the day, it feels like I am paying for it in the end," Sophomore John Cotton told KCBS Radio.

There have been student protests and a petition calling for Sakaki to resign.

"I think it's a huge mess she definitely got herself, her and her husband got into a mess that they could have avoided and I think it's inappropriate," Sean Kim said.

On Thursday the University's Academic Senate comprised of professors and teachers will decide whether to put a vote of no-confidence on Sakaki.

The university was not able to make a comment.
