A group of fearful teenagers begged a Santa Clara County judge not to allow bail for the Los Gatos mother accused of holding drunken teen sex parties during the 2020-2021 school year.
Attorneys for Shannon O'Connor on Tuesday made a plea for a judge to set bail for her, however many of the over a dozen victims she allegedly abused appeared in court to testify against her.

O'Connor has been in Santa Clara County prison since October when she was arrested in Idaho for 39 different offenses, including 12 felony counts of child endangerment and 27 other misdemeanors for her role in hosting and facilitating alcohol-fueled teen parties for her son and 14 other teenagers.
"I fear she will not face the law," one girl, identified in court documents as Jane Doe 4, testified according to the San Jose Mercury News. "She hurt so many young people, including her young sons."
She added that O’Connor "robbed" her of her innocence and left her with "memories I'll have to live with the rest of my life."
The paper reported that the girl "barely maintained her composure" and could be seen "trembling at the court mic" as she made the testimony in front of O’Connor, who sat just feet away.
According to the paper, among the laundry list of heinous accusations described, the prosecution alleges that in one instance O'Connor told Jane Doe 4 "to give another boy oral sex and told a boy to touch the girl sexually while they were drunk in O’Connor’s hot tub." Later that night, the girl almost passed out in her bedroom and O'Connor let a boy sexually molest her.
"She has no regard for the law and is a master manipulator," the girl's mother told the judge. "Please keep her behind bars so our children can heal."
Another girl, identified as Jane Doe 8, and her mother told the judge they feared that, if released before the trial, O'Connor will "come after them."
"We want to feel free of fear," Jane Doe 8 said. Her mother added, "she will further torment our children," if she is released.
No decision has been made as to whether she can be free while awaiting trial.
