The U.S. Park Police are investigating a burglary at the former Cliff House site where thieves made off with historic San Francisco memorabilia.
The incident happened between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on January 26.
Police said the suspects stole a unique bathing suit with "Sutro Baths" stitched across the chest valued at $2,000. People would wear these suits when at the famous Sutro Baths, located along the shoreline at Lands End, in the early 1900s.

The oceanfront bathhouse opened in 1894, ultimately destroyed by a fire in 1966.
Tourists often visit the Sutro Bath ruins, as do locals for coastal trails.
The Cliff House closed on New Year's Eve after the coronavirus pandemic cut into the historic restaurant's revenue. Earlier Wednesday, it was reported a restaurant could begin operating in the currently-unoccupied space as soon as this spring.
