It would have to take someone special to take Curry away from the moment of the celebration on the floor at TD Garden, after he won his fourth NBA title and first NBA Finals MVP trophy. When Obama called, Steph had to answer the phone, according to ESPN's Malika Andrews.
95.7 The Game's Whitley Sandretto caught a video of Steph talking on the phone after the 103-90 win by the Warriors in Game 6 of an intense NBA Finals.
"The only thing I can say is, let's golf soon," Curry told him.
The end of the game was a whirlwind, but Steph will probably look back on that moment down the line and say, 'Dang, Obama really called me after the game!'
Big power move by Barack.
Following the game, he also tweeted out congratulations to Steph.
Seven years ago, the Warriors made a trip to the White House when they won their first title during this dynasty run. The two clearly have stayed in contact since then and got to share a cool moment that will never be duplicated.
