You did it! Well…sort of.

The holiday season is just about over. I can imagine you are tired of being cooped up in the house with your people. I have two kids and I totally get it! Mine are eating too much and not moving enough.

I have some great ideas for you to fight the end of holiday family fatigue!

Sock Skating at Tech Interactive (San Jose)
Not a fan of ice skating? Here’s a great way to ‘slide’ out of the holiday! (Like how I did that?) You will feel like a kid again at Tech Interactive in San Jose. The museum has a ‘sock-skating-rink’ - how fun!

Laser Light Show at Red Morton Park in (Redwood City)
Catch the fun twice nightly through January 1st at Red Morton Park. The light tunnel is my favorite to make that magical end of year Instagram photo.

FREE Ferry Rides (Richmond to/from San Francisco)
Every Friday you can catch a *free* ferry ride from Richmond to San Francisco! Save gas and take the ferry and squeeze out the last bit of the holiday.

Thrive City Winter Wonderland (Chase Center, San Francisco)
The Winter Wonderland event ends at noon on New Years Eve.

Union Square Menorah Project (San Francisco)
The Bill Graham Menorah Project has activities until January 2nd. Light the Menorah and enjoy live musical performances, treats and more.

Bay Area Discovery Museum Countdown to Noon (San Jose & Sausalito)
Who wants to stay up till midnight with kids? Try a ball drop at noon! There are many great places around the Bay Area to experience ball drops outside of midnight. Our favorite is the Bay Area Discovery Museum Countdown to noon.

Novato’s Bouncy Ball New Year
Every year there are more and more bouncy balls falling from the sky in Novato on New Year’s Eve. This year you can expect over 25,000 bouncy balls at their countdown in downtown. It’s a free event, rain or shine in Novato.

Whether you’re sliding on sock ice, catching a free ferry or watching a laser light show, these events are sure to make the last days of 2024 unforgettable.

Happy New Year!
