A woman was attacked by two men while hiking on a trail in Mountain View on Wednesday.
Around 1 p.m., officers responded to a call on the Stevens Creek Trail between Creekside Park and Central Expressway after a woman reported that she had been assaulted just 15 minutes earlier.
According to the victim, a Sunnyvale resident, she was walking on the trail when she was approached by two men that emerged from the bushes.
The men attempted to grab her, with one of them attempting to pull her pants down, but she screamed and fought back. She got away and was able to call for help once at a safe location.
Officers conducted an extensive search of the area but were unable to find either suspect.
One of the suspects is described as a white man between the ages of 20 and 30 with curly blonde hair, wearing a gray shirt and jeans. The second suspect was also described as a white man in his 40s, about five feet, 10 inches tall with a large build and brown hair, wearing a blue shirt and jeans.
The investigation is ongoing. Officers are asking the public to call 911 immediately if they see anyone matching this description.
