AI video of Trump kissing Musk’s feet plays on TVs in federal building

A video created using artificial intelligence, which depicted President Trump rubbing and kissing Elon Musk’s feet, was played on TVs in the Department of Housing and Urban Development on Monday.

The videos appeared to be mocking the president for his relationship with Musk, as the video also had the words “Long live the real king” printed over the top. The phrase is a reference to Trump’s social media post last week in which he wrote, “Long Live the King!”

Several videos have been shared on social media, showing the people capturing the AI video playing on screens inside the HUD building.

A spokesperson for HUD, Kasey Lovett, shared with The Hill that the incident was “Another waste of taxpayer dollars and resources. Appropriate action will be taken for all involved.”

Trump and Musk have found themselves at the forefront of criticism for their efforts to shrink the government in the president’s first few months in office.

Over the weekend, Musk made headlines after he shared that all government employees were to respond to a mass email listing what they accomplished at work last week. He said that failure to comply would be taken as resignation.

Several agencies told employees not to respond to the email or threats from Musk.

On Monday, he also doubled down on Trump’s efforts to return workers to the office, saying those who didn’t return by this week would also be placed on administrative leave.

Musk and Trump discussed their working relationship during an interview with Fox News earlier this month. The two men maintain that the Media is attempting to drive them apart.
