The internet conspiracy-fueled Birds Aren’t Real movement just gained more traction as it hosted its first live rally Wednesday.

The event took place in downtown Springfield, Missouri and was lead by the theory's creator Peter McIndoe.

According to McIndoe, all birds in the United States were killed by the government and replaced with federal drones.

"What makes me think that? I think the evidence is all around us, birds sit on power lines, we believe they’re charging on power lines, we believe that bird poop on cars is liquid tracking apparatus," McIndoe explained.

The movement started online and has a large fan base with over 360,000 Reddit subscribers. This internet hit is currently on tour in the U.S. and Springfield was just its first stop.
