On Saturday, former President Donald Trump and several of his team’s top supporters returned to Butler, Pennsylvania, the place he was shot in mid-July, to hold another rally as his campaign enters its final month.

Trump, joined by his vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), billionaires Elon Musk and John Paulson, and real estate investor Steve Witkoff, spoke before a huge crowd. Trump touched on several topics, including the assassination attempt on his life, how his Democratic opponents are responding to Hurricane Helene, claims they were working to steal the upcoming election, and other points he has often repeated during his campaign for a second term.

Touching on the shooting, Trump praised law enforcement during his speech while talking about the shooting, while also offering his condolences for the innocent bystanders who lost their lives.

“We have an evil world,” Trump said. “We have a very sick world.”

One of the other topics he spoke about was a remark from Vice President Kamala Harris, who said in 2019 during an ACLU questionnaire that she would support taxpayer funding going toward immigrants in federal detention facilities who want gender transition care.

“Who wants sex change operations for illegal aliens in holding bins? I don’t think so,” Trump said, adding later in his speech, “I don’t think Elon likes that idea. These are not ideas that Elon Musk likes too much.”

Musk spoke before the crowd in Butler, offering a stark warning while encouraging those present and listening to register to vote.

“One request is very important: Register to vote,” Musk said. “OK? And get everyone you know and everyone you don’t know, drag them to register to vote. … Like, text people now [and] make sure they actually do vote. If they don’t, this will be the last election. That’s my prediction. Nothing’s more important.”

The billionaire also went on to describe himself as “not just MAGA, I’m dark MAGA.”

During Vance’s speech, he said that he believes God intervened and saved the former president’s life three months ago when he was in Butler.

“Now you heard the shots, you saw the blood, we all feared the worst,” Vance said. “But you knew everything would be OK when President Trump raised his fist high in the air and shouted ‘Fight! Fight! Fight!’”

Vance also took a shot at the vice president, saying the labeling of Trump as a threat to democracy by Democrats is what sparked the recent attempts on his life.

“How dare you talk about threats to democracy. Donald Trump took a bullet for democracy,” Vance said about Harris. “What the hell have you done?”

The election is now less than four weeks away, and as things sit, an average of national polls by The Hill’s Decision Desk HQ has Trump trailing Harris 46.4% to 49.8%.
