It was so hot in Fresno on Sunday that one person’s windshield sun protector melted in the heat.
A Fresno resident shared the photo with local TV station KFSN, and their “Star Wars” protector looked much worse for wear after some sun exposure.
It was a record-setting July 11 in Fresno.
The National Weather Service reported that the city reached a high temperature of 114 degrees, the highest ever recorded on that day in the city’s history.
The previous July 11 record, set in 1896, was 110 degrees. Fresno’s all-time high temperature is 115 degrees.
