
Another round of government payments could be coming soon to a bank account near you.
Millions of Californians are set to receive a second Golden State Stimulus check for $600 as early as later this week. Any state resident who makes under $75,000 may qualify, with an additional $500 going to eligible dependents claimed on their 2020 tax return.

Eligible residents who receive their tax refund by direct deposit should expect their stimulus payment by Friday, while those who are mailed checks will receive theirs beginning early next month, according to the Franchise Tax Board.
The program is estimated to benefit two-thirds of the state.
In addition, millions of parents across the country received their third round of child tax credits from the federal government on Wednesday morning. The check, which four million Californians received an advancement payment of in August, provides up to $300 per month for qualifying children under the age of 6 and $200 for those six to 17 years old.
U.S. Treasury figures showed that 61 million people, seven million of which are in California, benefited from the tax credits.
There are still no plans for a fourth federal stimulus check, though a petition with 2.85 million signatures on Change.org called on Congress to send a new edition out with payments on a monthly basis for the rest of the pandemic.
