SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – Friday will be the calm before yet another series of storms, which are likely to cause more flooding, power outages and other damage.

The storm this week caused a lot of flooding and damage throughout the Bay Area, most notably the Capitola Wharf in Santa Cruz County collapsing due to massive waves.
San Francisco itself was not immune to the giant waves whipped up by the storm this week.
"A member of our law enforcement team said that the waves during this storm are bigger than any he has seen in his 16 years with the park," said Julian Espinoza with the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
Locals who typically enjoy the water at spots like Ocean Beach didn’t dare wade in on Thursday as the waves reportedly reached as high as 50 feet.
Debris in the water like massive logs also made conditions dangerous for would be surfers and swimmers.
Although Friday is a respite from the rain, it's not much of a relief for the 18,000 PG&E customers still without power in the Bay Area.
Another 11,000 people are without power on the Central Coast as well.
The power utility won't catch much of a break as two more atmospheric rivers head to the Bay Area.
The first milder storm is expected to hit Saturday morning bringing rain and breezy conditions. Then a second, stronger system will arrive Monday afternoon and continue into Tuesday.
"We're not seeing anything heavier than what we will see Monday and Tuesday," said National Weather Service meteorologist Dalton Beringer. "But I can say the storm door is still open."
Several more inches of rain are expected, particularly in areas of higher elevation, which will likely lead to more flooding.
As of right now, six people have died as a result of these storms, mostly due to traffic fatalities and fallen trees.
