The Las Vegas Book Festival is Nevada’s largest literary event and a true celebration of the written, spoken and illustrated word. Established in 2002 as the Vegas Valley Book Festival, the city of Las Vegas, in partnership with Nevada Humanities and numerous community sponsors, has worked tirelessly to bring the joy of books, reading and lifelong learning to Las Vegas. Always free and open to the public, the festival welcomes thousands of attendees of all ages each year for a day filled with engaging author discussions, book signings, readings, workshops and special presentations. Now in its 25th year, the festival features an incredible range of authors, from local independent writers to nationally acclaimed bestselling authors, covering genres and topics that include politics, Las Vegas history, romance, science fiction, mystery, thrillers, children's literature, young adult fiction, and works by Latino and other diverse voices.
Families can enjoy the vibrant Library Corner, featuring live author readings, illustrator demonstrations and interactive activities designed to inspire young readers. Beyond the literary programming, the festival offers dozens of independent vendors showcasing books, artwork, handcrafted goods and literary merchandise, along with a diverse selection of food trucks serving local favorites throughout the day. With something to discover on every page, the Las Vegas Book Festival offers an unforgettable experience for readers, writers, families and anyone who loves the written word.
