PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – The Allegheny County Health Department is reporting an additional 140 cases on Thursday, for a total of 5,750.

Thursday's number is 106 less than the number of cases reported on Wednesday.


The new cases come from 2,817 tests that were taken between June 30 and July 14.

The newest cases range in age from 2 to 94 years old with the median age being 33.

12 new hospitalizations are being reported, 11 more compared to Wednesday.

A total of 490 people have been hospitalized past or present.

One additional death is being reported bringing the total number of those who have died of coronavirus to 205. Those deaths are confirmed and probable.

The county reminds everyone to continue to wear a mask in public, frequently wash their hands and maintain social distancing.
