PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - To help celebrate Earth Day, bring your reusable materials to FutureFest this Saturday, April 20th.
Happening from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., FutureFest will collect gently used items to be recycled while providing entertainment, food, hands-on activities, a vendor market, and more!
Items being collected include the following:
- Biking Supplies to benefit Free Ride Pittsburgh
- Business casual shoes, Jewelry, Purses to benefit Dress for Success Pittsburgh
- Furniture/Bedding Items to benefit Off the Floor Pgh
- Garden/Lawn Items to benefit Grow Pittsburgh
- General Household/Kitchen Items & Clothing to benefit Free Store Wilkinsburg, Propel Wellness Center, and Goodwill of Southwestern PA
- Medical Supplies to benefit Global Links and Brother's Brother Foundation
- Art supplies to benefit Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse
- Pet supplies to benefit Humane Animal Rescue
- School and office supplies to benefit The Education Partnership
- Usable Building Materials to benefit Construction Junction
FutureFest will be held at Buhl Park and Children's Way, adjacent to Children's museum in the North Side.
