PITTSBURGH, PA (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Allegheny County Health Department has announced 28 additional coronavirus cases in Allegheny County on Friday.
There are now 1,177 confirmed or probable cases of COVID-19 in the county, that number includes 1,146 confirmed cases and 31 probable cases.
There have also been two additional confirmed or probable deaths related to COVID-19 bringing the total to 71 dead.
64 of those cases are confirmed deaths with seven probable.
"A probable death is one where COVID-19 is listed on the deceased's death certificate, but the person never had a positive test for the virus," the county said in a release.
The age range for those that have died are from 42 to 103 with 84 being the median age.
There have been 208 total hospitalizations to date, ongoing or in the past, four more than Thursday.
