63 New Coronavirus Cases Brings Total To 419 In Allegheny County

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - There are 63 additional cases of coronavirus in Allegheny County Thursday, to bring the total to 419.

The Allegheny Health Department says that 70 total have been hospitalized (past or present).


The number of dead remains at 2.

The age breakdown:

00-04 – 2 (less than 1%)05-12 – 2 (less than 1%)13-18 – 6 (1%)19-24 – 38 (9%)25-49 – 182 (43%)50-64 – 116 (28%)65+ -- 73 (17%)GenderFemale – 213 (51%)Male – 206 (49%)

All patients who have tested positive are either hospitalized or quarantined at home.

In a release the county says

Today's numbers reflect an increase in testing and could account for tests performed over multiple days and reported at once. We know there is community spread and expect to see the number of cases increase as more people are tested. We urge the public to help stop the spread by staying home, washing their hands often, and staying at least 6 feet away from others if they do have to go out.
