PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – The Allegheny County Health Department is reporting three additional COVID-19 deaths on Friday, as the area moves into the green phase of the state's coronavirus mitigation plan.
A total of 168 have now died in the county as a result of coronavirus.
Of those deaths 156 are confirmed and 12 are probable.
All deaths range in age from 42-103 with 84 being the median age.
There are also eight new cases of coronavirus being reported in the county, five less than on Thursday
That brings the county's total to 1,973 positive cases.
Of the county's cases, 14 percent of the county's COVID-19 total are in healthcare workers.
Two new hospitalizations are being reported with the number of those hospitalized past or present at 349, two more than on Thursday
The Pennsylvania Department of Health reports 33,230 have tested negative for coronavirus.
