PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A Baltimore man is in custody after he reportedly bit two police officers.
The man identified by Pittsburgh Police as Deandre McCray "caused a disturbance at the Amtrak station Downtown" around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Police say the man got upset after he asked an Amtrak employee for a cigarette.
The employee told McCray he did not have any cigarettes.
McCray then yelled at a ticket seller and punched a window that was separating them.
He then allegedly began to pace in the lobby, talking to himself.
When officers arrived on the scene they asked the 39-year-old McCray to leave the premises which he refused to do.
While being escorted out of the building McCray began to struggle biting the two officers.
McCray is charged on two counts of aggravated assault along with one count of trespassing and resisting arrest.
The two officers were taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital where they were treated for the bites and released.
