PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - If your dog or cat is itching, sneezing or wheezing, he or she may be experiencing some seasonal allergies.
“The allergies, unfortunately, are always common this time of the year,” Veterinarian Dr. Mike Hutchinson said Thursday on KDKA Radio. “It shouldn’t be from fleas, but we still see flea bite allergies in dogs.”
He said it is very easy to prevent flea allergies in dogs by giving them a monthly pill.
As the season cools down, the allergies will taper off.
