
PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) Many soon to be married couples have to scramble to find new wedding venue as Noah’s Event Venue closes Pittsburgh locations.
Noah’s abruptly shut down its locations in Cranberry Township and Canonsburg after filing for bankruptcy last year.
The bankruptcy has had an impact on couples across the country as around 2,800 events had to be cancelled from the closure of 28 total facilities.
Edgewood Country Club in Churchill, Treesdale Gold and Country Club in Gibsonia and the Gateway Clipper Fleet are all offering special deals for those affected by the sudden closure.
Other places are offering deals; all couples have to do is show a signed contract from Noah’s.
Fort Cherry High School had their prom scheduled for May of this year at Noah's.
Since the shutdown the school is out $3,000 and they are uncertain if they will be get any money back.
People have been unable to get in contact with Noah’s and it is unknown if refunds will be given.
Couples will have to file bankruptcy court claims.
No statement from the company has been released.
