PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Evidence presented by the prosecution Wednesday, attempts to link suspect Cheron Shelton to the scene of a mass murder at a Wilkinsburg cookout 4 years ago.
The jury saw surveillance video from a neighbor’s home on Franklin Avenue, not far from 1304 where the shootings took place.
Detective Michael Feeney testified it shows a white vehicle, like Shelton’s Lincoln driving up Franklin just before the gunfire.
Prosecutors presented the .22 caliber rifle, ammunitions magazines, scope and bulletproof vest all recovered from Shelton’s mother’s home in Homewood later.
Shelton’s fingerprints were on the rifle but the defense pointed out that was not the gun used in the shootings.
