The vigil organized by Prajesh Patel wrote on Facebook:

RIP Gone but never forgotten Join us as we spice things up outside of our beloved downtown food establishment. Being one of the best spots to spend a late night out, Taco Bell can never be replaced.-If you share the same feelings come out and support your Happy Valley community. We will be sharing kind words and lighting candles. Everyone is encouraged to let the world know how they feel!-Special appearances by Nittanyville trophy and Taco Bell staff.

The Post-Gazette reports the restaurant opened in 2011 and it is not known what prompted the location to close its doors.

The event has gained national attention and even got a comment from Taco Bell’s Twitter account.
