PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - It's Election Day in Pennsylvania and the polls are open until 8 p.m.

It is an off-year election and turnout is predicted to be generally between 25 and 30 percent.

There is a heated election for District Attorney in Allegheny County between incumbent Stephen Zappala and challenger Independent Lisa Middleman.

In the City of Pittsburgh, voters will cast ballots on a proposal to raise property taxes to better fund city parks.

Statewide, that Marsy's Law ballot question is still there.

It's about victims' rights but results won't be tabulated following a court challenge upheld yesterday by the state Supreme Court.

The votes could be tabulated at some point in the future but will faces legal hurdles.
