Farmers' Almanac Predicts Blizzard In February

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) -  The 2021 Farmers' Almanac is predicting that we could see a blizzard in February.

On their website, managing editor Sandi Duncan said "If you didn't like last winter's somewhat-boring weather in the Northeast, you may be happy to hear what we are predicting for 2021."

The Almanac predicts 1-2 feet of snow during the second week of February along the eastern seaboard. The rest of the winter from the northeast down through Tennessee and the lower Ohio River vallies could see a wintry mix of rain, snow and ice.

In the southeastern part of the country, the Almanac says to expect it to be colder than normal.

It's going to be a cold winter for northern and central portions of the U.S. as temperatures are predicted to be at or below normal with lots of snow.

Finally, Arizona and southern California will be warm and dry according to the Almanac.

"Preparing people for the unexpected is more important than ever," editor Peter Geiger, Philom said on their website. "Our job as editors of the Farmers' Almanac is to pass down valuable tips and advice to help our readers thrive, no matter the obstacles, including the weather."
