Federal Grand Jury Indicts 33 in Drug Schemes

Police are searching for three suspects, 30 others are behind bars, indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh for the sale of heroin, cocaine, crack, and marijuana.

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Police are searching for three suspects, 30 others are behind bars, indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh for the sale of heroin, cocaine, crack, and marijuana.

In the largest indictment, 25 individuals are charged with the sale of illegal drugs from August of last year to May of this year.

The FBI is still searching for three men, 31 year old James Wells of Braddock, 26 year old Delbert Pate of Duquesne, and 30 year old Justin Law of Wilkinsburg.

Authorities have also confiscated several vehicles including a Mercedes Benz S5A, a Dodge Ram 1500, and a Jeep Wrangler. They also recovered a Glock 19x pistol. In one indictment they recovered more than half a million dollars cash including $469,475 from 39 year old Eric Vanderslice of Phoenixville, PA.

A release from U.S. Attorney Scott Brady’s office calls it a multi-agency investigation that included the Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office, Allegheny County Police, Pennsylvania State Police, agents from the state Attorney General’s Office, and Pittsburgh Police. Other police departments included Monroeville, Penn Hills, Shaler, and Wilkinsburg.
